I Sogni Non Muoiono MAI!

E' un estate piena di persone nuove, di nuove esperienze e di affetti importanti: Zia M.; Eve, Gabri, Korah, MeryBlu, P.P, G.B., D.C. Sono tornata ad un festival psy-trance dopo 9 anni, ho preso la patente C, ho ritrovato vecchi amici e sto finalmente per raggiungere la mia isola: Ibiza ...... Molte volte avrei voluto poter scrivere qui quello che mi è capitato in questi mesi, ma il fatto che ci sia stato chi potrebbe ed ha voluto leggere questo mio spazio per vedere quello che non c'è, chi ha usato internet per scoprire "l'inscopribile, mi ha temporaneamente chiusa.... E allora eccomi qui tentennare con la voglia di raccontare appassionatamente, ma con la coscienza di sapere che la mia passione e la mia libertà possono essere travisate, e questo proprio non mi va. Che dire? Quest'estate è un riscoprire quello che nel mio cuore c'è sempre stato, è un tornare alle mie origini, ed è anche un pò chiedersi come mai non l'avevo capito prima, come mai non avevo smesso prima di credere in uno stile di vita che non mi appartiene del tutto. Pian piano ritrovo il coraggio di fare quello che amo e di capire cosa voleva dirmi la mia amica Gioita quando mi ripeteva: "Devi fare solo quello che ti fa' star bene!", ed io lì ancora non capivo esattamente cosa mi volesse dire...Ora si, ora inizio a capire veramente. Ogni volta che sto per fare qualche cosa cerco di fermarmi, di fare un passo indietro e chiedere a me stessa se quella cosa mi farà stare bene o no. Sto benone da sola con la mia Dolly. Lei ed io e basta. La amo da morire! Non vedo l'ora di viaggiare con lei, di conoscere gente nuova, di condividere musica, danze e "buena onda" con la mia amica fedele e con la mia tribù. Per la prima volta in cinque anni il fatto di stare in piedi forte e sicura da sola, sulle mie gambe, non mi spaventa più. Sono sicura che con le mie sole forze posso fare molto e raggiungere le mie mete, e che ogni volta che incontrerò qualcuno che non mi farà sentire all'altezza avrò la forza di girare le spalle e sussurrare a me stessa : "No, perchè mi voglio bene e perchè valgo!" (Lo so che a chi legge può sembrare la pubblicità della Loreal, ma allora poi forse alla fine un minimo ci hanno azzeccato: ognuna di noi dovrebbe rendersi conto di quanto vale ed ognuna dovrebbe volersi più bene, amarsi di più!) Per la prima volta in 6 anni ho dinuovo quella sensazione nell'anima che frizza, quel senso di felicità, di anticipazione, e sopratutto quella speranza di poter essere chi voglio, e chi, poi in fondo, ho sempre voluto essere. Solo ora, a distanza di tempo, mi rendo conto che quello che avevo desiderato con tutto il cuore tempo fà non sarebbe mai stato possbile perchè era un sogno che non mi è mai appartenuto. Ora ho ritrovato i miei sogni, quelli che sono sempre stati miei anche se per tanto tempo li avevo accantonati pensando che cambiando io cambiassero anche i sogni, e invece no. Si possono vivere da persona cambiata, e con la cosa in più di volerli vivere prendedno il buono che c'è da ogni esperienza e da ogni parte del mondo che esiste.

BISOGNO D'AMORE...

"Quando inizio veramente a pensare a quello che voglio, a dove mi porta la trasformazione...sorrido." Io veramente non so dove ho dimenticato tutta quella parte di me: quella che vive in mezzo alla gente di ogni tipo, quella che gira il mondo, quella che parla con la gente perchè crede che ci sia sempre qualcosa da imparare.... Me ne sono resa conto ieri mattina quando mi sono addentrata in stazione, quando contenta di chi, piano piano, sto in fondo diventando mi guardavo intorno..... Il cielo era di un azzurro che ti accarezza il cuore, il sole di luglio alto nel cielo...sembrava quasi che mi sorridesse e mi dicesse: "Sarò sempre con te..." L'aria frizzante e croccante mi accarezzava le guance sussurandomi che è nel mio pieno diritto essere finalmente felice: dare qualche indicazione ai turisti giapponesi, chiedere al barista dov'è il bagno, parlare con le gente accettandola per come è, senza giudicare, viaggiare e viaggiare ancora.....Cosa è successo? Come ho fatto a dimenticarmi?Perchè mi sono preclusa questa parte così fondamentale di me? E poi mi rendo conto che non vivere mai certe situazioni, anche solo qualche volta, fà in modo che uno si dimentichi molto in fretta di come e di cosa è fatto il mondo di noi umani. Per me spesso sono state le persone che si sono mostrate a me non come sono veramente, ma come vorrebbero essere. Anche io in passato ho ceduto a questo stupido sotterfugio, come se avessi dovuto dimostrare chissà cosa, addirittura magari a me stessa per prima, ma forse adesso capisco che non c'è nulla da mostrare, non c'è nulla da dimostrare ma si può solo semplicemente essere per il gusto di essere, non essere nè così nè cosà, essere e basta. Che bello stare lì a contemplare i colori, sentire i profumi, ascoltare fuori quello che rimbomba dentro, solo e semplicemente essere...... Allora l'invito è quello di non scordarci mai dell'amore che c'è in ognuno di noi. Possiamo abbandonare le paure e domandarci in continuazione come se tutto fosse nuovo di zecca. Possiamo trovare dentro di noi la capacità di meravigliarci sempre: meravigliarci dei piedini di un bambino, di come la luce riflette sui muri di un vicolo, di come la gente si guarda, di come si parla e si comporta..... perchè stare in mezzo al mondo è quello che, sopratutto, oggi mi rendo conto mi è mancato di più. Conoscere noi stessi e capire cosa ci fà stare bene, senza rinunciarvi più per nulla al mondo: questo è importante. Forse non si può attribuire lo smarrimento della Via ad un semplice fattore come il lavoro o ad una relazione andata male. E' in fondo un atteggiamento quello ci fà stare bene e che non possiamo e dobbiamo assolutamente abbandonare del tutto per assecondare gli altri. Sicuramente se fà stare bene noi anche chi ci circonda ne trarrà beneficio. La Via è dentro al nostro cuore, è dentro il bello che c'è in ogni singola cosa. Stamane racconto che capisco come le persone entrano nella nostra vita per un istante o per una vita intera, poco importa in realtà. Ci portano quella nuova visione e quella nuova presa di coscienza. Noi la possiamo abbracciare, la possiamo comprendere oppure attacarci a nostri bisogni....... Invece, basterebbe che abbracciassimo noi stessi con infinito amore, e dall'interiore sprigioneremmo ancora più amore senza avere bisogno, ma amandoci solo....molto di più......

SCHOOL LIKE HOME

I spent my whole childhood at A.C.A.T.....and nearly my entire adolescence... I think by the end of grade 11 when I finally decided to move to the UK, I promised myself I would never set foot within the school again....you know how teenagers are at times: ungrateful. The school went through phases, moved places, changed names. I went through phases, moved places, changed names. .... It was once called the "American" association, and then it became the "International" school, but now, in "my old age", I know that to me the way we call it never made much of a difference because it was always this special place-a little bit like home, you know? No matter what kind of metamorphosis my school was undergoing, I always knew deep down inside that it was a figment of the board's and the parent's efforts to keep the school up to speed with the ever so pathetically bureaucratic Italian schooling system. And why? 'Cause ACAT has always been such a special place for education.....An education I believe to be holistic, not only by taking into account different academic cultures and embracing diversity of people, but also by having a range of activities to push the students into really knowing eachother, into building up friendships and really being engaged- a behaviour which is highly valued in work places these days. At ACAT you never were just a "sir name", or a number waiting to be interrogated. ACAT was about people. Each student was treated as an individual, and no matter how much the school grows, I hope this will never change. I was born of Italian parents, and through schooling at IST I had the opportunity to meet another Anna- my English speaking me! I like "her" a lot, and "she" has opened so many doors for me, both in business and in private life. I feel so blessed. I'ts my patient teachers I owe this blessing to: Mr.Boyle, Mr.Mores, Mrs.Shore, Mrs.Gelsomini, Mrs.Zabaldano, Mrs. Carpinito, Mrs. Bianco and many more who just did not stay as long..... When I saw John and Bill (gosh, am I allowed to call them that now that I am not a student anymore??) at the Alumni bbq the other evening, after 18 long years, I was sort of shocked. It felt like I had seen them just the day before. John told me this story on how, upon his arrival at ACAT as a Math teacher the first time he ever taught my class (class of '92) in middle school, at the end of class, I got up from my desk, smiled at him and said: "Thank-you", before storming out of the door. So I guess I wasn't that bad of a stinky teenager then... there must've been a good side to me.... And then, it hit me: they must've had so much patience, and they have always been so dedicated..... Bill and John have decided to make Italy- the land of chaos- their home in order to spend their careers at ACAT....It's obvious to me they are surely driven by the passion for what they do, the passion for this special school, and the love of their students whom today they still make such an effort to unite!! Really, they could have just gone in, taught their lessons, corrected the homework and gone home, but no...there was always much more.... I don't think that my school could ever have gotten even close to being what it has been for me without my dedicated and enduring professors. Together with us they keep the spirit of this special school going, handing down the ACAT-IST traditions....how precious!

Honestly? I just can't tell myself to stop. Honestly? Why would anyone stop thinking things that made them feel good? Honestly? I have now listened to that track 50 times in a row! Honestly? I cannot truly and publicly speak my mind. Honestly?I want to scream to the world what I'm feeling right now, but I cannot. Tell me, is it all really about what you want to see? Or can we be objective when it comes to THAT? So in theory you're not supposed to let it make you feel good, you're not supposed to let it carry you away, but so what is the point in it happening at all in the first place? Tell me!!! And the beat goes on and on and on, and the positive vibe just cannot stop. Can a positive vibe like this all be depending on a projection of the mind? Could anyone who has the answer please give me a shout? I really need to get this point straightened up once and for all. Here we go, replay the track for the 51st time won't ya, and every time it feels better and better, quite extatic. It feels like it's the dawn of a new beginning and there is no stopping it. I am so grateful, but at the same time- quite scared. I need to take that leap, now, and there is no turning back. I think I'm going to jump out of my skin and never come back!!!! Erano di un verde trasparente. Un delfino luccicante, inseguivo la corrente. Grande airone, oro e argento, mi libravo sopra il vento. Io mi perdo lentamente, dentro l'ari trasparente.
